Estee Lauder Perfume, Estee Lauder Beautiful

It is fair to say that Estee Lauder revolutionised the cosmetic and perfume industry in the States. Estee Lauder cleverly broke the tradition of perfume being something a man bought for his partner by introducing the famous Youth Dew. In 1985,  the Estee Lauder perfume named Beautiful hit the world’s perfume stage and is still one of the company’s most iconic fragrances to this day.

In some ways, Estee Lauder Beautiful was a version of the Chanel classic perfume named Chanel No 19. However, Beautiful was created to capture the essence of the girl who lived next door rather than the enigmatic beauty that may wear Chanel No 19. Beautiful is a luscious and full fragrance that is instantly recognisable. It contains a wood chypre accord that is fused with oriental ingredients such as sandalwood, incense and vanilla.

Like all the other Estee Lauder fragrances Beautiful is designed to last and not just in the short term fragrance longevity sense, which it does well, but it is also withstanding the test of time. Its sales have bearly diminished since 1985 and it is still a hugely popular scent for women of all ages.
