Chanel Perfume, Chanel No 5

In spring 2001, Chanel’s house perfumer, developed and released Coco Mademoiselle as its newest Chanel perfume. It features a top note of bergamot, orange with a middle note or jasmine and rose floral, finished off with a lovely base of patchouli, vetiver, vanilla and white musk.

Chanel Coco Mademoiselle is targeted at women in their twenties and thirties whereas Chanel Chance is designed for teenagers or women in their early twenties. Chanel No 5 is in a league of its own being the first creation many decades ago and it is definitely fine tuned for the more mature lady.

Chanel No 5 is probably the best known scent in the world and when Marilyn Monroe was once asked what she wore in bed she replied nothing more than Chanel No 5.

Coco Mademoiselle which has been recently advertised by Keira Knightley, is a beautiful feminine fragrance but womanly at the same time. It is said to be somewhat bold as it contains a masculine element to it which also gives it some originality as this is unexpected in a Chanel perfume. It is a floral fragrance that is elegant and sophisticated, perfect for either day or evening wear.
